The Asgarnian seed is a hops seed in Old School RuneScape. Plant it in a hops patch to grow Asgarnian hops. You need level 8 Farming to plant it, and each patch takes 4 seeds. The hops are used to brew Asgarnian ale.
The crop takes 50 minutes to grow, in 5 stages of 10 minutes each. Planting gives 10.9 Farming experience, and each harvest gives 12 experience. A fully grown plant gives 3 or more hops, and the yield can vary. Using compost lowers the chance of disease and raises the yield. A nearby gardener will watch the crop for 1 sack of onions.
Your chance to pick hops without using up a harvest life grows with your Farming level. It starts at 44.1% at level 8 and reaches 70.7% at level 99. Magic secateurs and an attas plant in your anima patch can raise these chances even more.
Asgarnian seeds are a cheap and simple way to train early Farming. They are a good pick for players working toward higher Farming levels or brewing their own ale.
