Asgarnian hops are a farming and brewing item in Old School RuneScape. Players grow them from Asgarnian seeds in a hops patch at level 8 Farming. The main use for these hops is brewing Asgarnian ale, one of the most popular ales in Gielinor, known for its malty, caramel sweet taste.

Brewing Asgarnian ale needs level 24 in the skill and gives 248 XP per batch. One batch uses 4 Asgarnian hops along with 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, 1 ale yeast, and 8 beer glasses. This makes 8 Asgarnian ales. Players can also use 2 calquat kegs instead of glasses to make 2 Asgarnian ale(4). Mature versions of both ales use the same ingredients.

Asgarnian hops are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and store in bulk. They cannot be equipped and do not stack unbanked. They can also go into a compost bin to make regular compost. The item ID is 5996.

Getting hops by farming takes time, since each plant needs about 50 minutes to grow. Having a supply ready means players can skip the wait and start brewing right away.
