Description

The Big fishing net is a members-only Fishing tool in Old School RuneScape. It is used at net and harpoon fishing spots along the coast, plus two special big net spots at the Ruins of Camdozaal and Civitas illa Fortis.

The net can catch raw mackerel at level 16, raw cod at level 23, and raw bass at level 46. Bass is the main prize. You can use bass with a Ring of Charos (a) to re-enchant lyres. The net also pulls up caskets, which may hold half keys or high-level talismans. Other catches include oysters, seaweed, leather boots, and leather gloves. With some luck, one cast can pull in 2 to 9 fish and items at once, and it can even catch big bass.

Wearing a skills necklace with at least one charge slightly boosts your chance to find a casket. Catching more than one type of fish in a single cast gives you a heron pet roll for each type. Big net spots are found at places like Catherby, the Fishing Guild, Rellekka, Burgh de Rott, and Ape Atoll. The net weighs 8.164 kg and can be combined with an empty fishbowl to make a fishbowl and net.
