Description

The empty bird nest is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is what remains after you take the seeds, rings, or eggs out of a full bird nest. Empty nests are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to buy, sell, and store. The item weighs almost nothing and cannot be worn or stacked.

Players want empty nests for one big reason. You can crush them with a pestle and mortar to make a crushed nest. Crushed nests are a key ingredient in Herblore. They are used to make Saradomin brews, one of the best healing potions in the game. If you do not want to crush nests yourself, Wesley in Nardah will do it for 50 coins per nest. He accepts both noted and un-noted nests.

Empty nests come from a few in-game sources. Bird house trapping gives up to 10 nest rolls, and a successful roll has a 65 in 100 chance to give an empty nest. Wyson also hands out empty nests at times when players trade in mole claws and mole skins. If your inventory is full, he may give a nest box that holds empty nests instead.
