Black d'hide chaps are leg armour for Ranged builds in Old School RuneScape. They are part of the black dragonhide armour set. You need level 70 Ranged to wear them. There is no Defence level needed, so pures and low Defence accounts can use them too.

These chaps give a +17 Ranged attack bonus. They also protect you well, with +18 Stab, +20 Slash, +26 Crush, +23 Magic, and +26 Ranged defence. The one downside is a -10 Magic attack bonus. They weigh 5.443 kg.

Players with 82 Crafting can make them with 2 black dragon leather, 1 thread, and a needle. This gives 172 Crafting experience. In the game, they also drop from the Hydra and the Colossal Hydra, and they can appear in a hard clue Reward casket.

Black d'hide chaps came out on 29 March 2004 with RuneScape 2. They were first called Dragonhide chaps and got their current name in January 2006. They are a solid pick for any ranger who wants strong leg armour without training Defence.
