Description
The Black robe is a chest armour piece for low level Magic users in Old School RuneScape. It is free-to-play and fits in the body slot. The robe gives a +3 Magic attack bonus and a +3 Magic defence bonus. Its examine text says "I can do magic better in this."
The Black robe has the same stats as the blue wizard robe. It is one of only three free-to-play body items with a Magic attack bonus. Compared to the Zamorak monk top, it gives +1 Magic attack and -3 Prayer bonus.
Players can make this robe by using black dye on a blue wizard robe. This needs only Crafting level 1 and gives 2.5 Crafting experience. Blue dye turns it back into a blue wizard robe. Dark wizards in the stone circle south of Varrock often drop it too.
Many players wear the Black robe with the black wizard hat and black skirt for a matching look. The robe is tradeable, noteable, and not stackable. It weighs 0.907 kg. It was released on 25 January 2001 and has item ID 581.
