Description

The Bronze platebody is a melee armour piece in Old School RuneScape. It is the weakest of all platebodies, but it has no Defence requirement to equip. This makes it a solid pick for new players who want more protection than a bronze chainbody offers.

The platebody gives +15 Stab, +14 Slash, and +9 Crush defence bonuses, plus +14 Ranged defence. Like all platebodies, it lowers your Magic and Ranged attack stats, with -15 Magic and -30 Ranged attack bonuses. It also carries a -6 Magic defence penalty. The item weighs 9.979 kg and has the in-game ID 1117.

Players with level 18 Smithing can make one by using 5 bronze bars on an anvil while carrying a hammer. This grants 62.5 Smithing experience. The platebody can also be bought from Horvik's Smithy or Zenesha's Plate Mail Body Shop. It drops from sources like damaged armour, Animated Bronze Armour, and Skeletons in Tarn's Lair.
