Description

Camphor pyre logs are an item in Old School RuneScape. Players use them in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, Riyl, and Asyn shades. You need level 71 Firemaking to light them. Each cremation gives 320 Firemaking experience, or 480 if you have finished the Elite Morytania Diary.

To use the logs, take them and a set of shade remains to a funeral pyre south or west of the center of Mort'ton. Light the pyre with a tinderbox. This frees the shade and gives Firemaking and Prayer experience. Loar remains give 320 Firemaking XP and 34.5 Prayer XP. You also get some coins or a key. The type of key depends on the remains you burn, not the logs.

Making these logs yourself takes time. You need camphor logs and four doses of sacred oil, which comes from the Shades of Mort'ton quest or minigame. Buying the logs ready to use skips that work, so you can go right to burning shades for fast Firemaking and Prayer training.
