Description

Dragonstone bolts are strong crossbow ammo in Old School RuneScape. They are runite bolts tipped with dragonstone. They give a +117 ranged strength bonus and need 61 Ranged to wield. They are members-only, tradeable, and stackable.

Players with 68 Magic can enchant these bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Dragonstone) spell. This makes dragonstone bolts (e). The enchanted bolts have a 6% chance to trigger the Dragon's Breath effect on a successful hit. This adds extra damage equal to 20% of your visible Ranged level. With the Zaryte crossbow passive effect, it goes up to 22%. If you finished the Hard Kandarin Diary, the chance rises to 6.6%.

These bolts shine in PVP. They can hit very hard against players without antifire protection. With 99 Ranged, Rigour, Elite Void, and a Ranging potion, the special effect can hit up to 70 in PvP. The effect does not work on targets immune to dragonfire, and Protect from Magic blocks it fully.

Players can also make the bolts at 71 Fletching by adding dragonstone bolt tips to runite bolts, gaining 8.2 experience per bolt.
