Description

Dwarven stout is an ale in Old School RuneScape. When you drink it, it restores 1 Hitpoint and boosts your Mining and Smithing levels by 1 for a short time. The trade-off is that it lowers your Attack, Strength, and Defence while the effect lasts. This makes it a handy drink for skillers who want to mine a rock or smith an item just above their current level.

The stout is not stackable and weighs 0.55 kg. It is a free-to-play item, so any player can use it. A stronger version called dwarven stout(m) also exists. The mature stout boosts Mining and Smithing by 2 instead of 1.

Players can brew dwarven stout with level 19 Cooking for 215 experience. The recipe uses 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, 4 hammerstone hops, and 1 pot of ale yeast in a fermenting vat. It can also be found at pubs like the Rising Sun Inn in Falador and the Toad and Chicken in Burthorpe, or as a common drop from Rockslugs.
