Edible seaweed is a food item in Old School RuneScape. Eating it restores 4 Hitpoints. It is a quick and simple snack that can help low level players stay alive while training or exploring.

This item has more than one use. You can cook edible seaweed on a range or a fire to turn it into soda ash. Soda ash is an ingredient used to make molten glass. Cooking it this way gives no experience. Edible seaweed is also one of the possible random items asked for in the quest Fairytale I - Growing Pains.

Edible seaweed is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 0.25 kg. Its examine text reads "Slightly damp seaweed." It spawns on beaches on Fossil Island and on islands off the north-east coast of Mos Le'Harmless. Many creatures also drop it, such as Rock Crabs, Sand Crabs, Ammonite Crabs, Swamp Crabs, Hermit Crabs, Giant Lobsters, Rock Lobsters, sea snakes, Dagannoths at Waterbirth Island, and the Kraken.
