Description
The gold ring is a simple piece of jewelry in Old School RuneScape. It is worn in the ring slot, but it does not give any bonuses or special powers. Like all rings, it cannot be seen on your character.
Players can make a gold ring with level 5 Crafting. You need one gold bar and a furnace. Each ring gives 15 Crafting experience and takes only 1.8 seconds to make. This makes gold rings an easy way to train your first Crafting levels.
Gold rings can also come from bird nests, the casket in the Pirate's Treasure quest, and the Capt' Arnav's Chest random event. The Forgotten Four drop them too, and each ring shows how many rolls you have made toward their vestige.
The ring is needed for some Treasure Trails clues. You can also sell gold rings at Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim for some extra coins. The gold ring looks almost the same as the ring of visibility. As a fun secret, using a gold ring on the Volcanic Forge makes a goblin appear and yell "My Precious!!!" as a nod to The Lord of the Rings.
