Description

Granite boots are strong melee boots made from granite rock in Old School RuneScape. You need level 50 Defence and level 50 Strength to wear them. They give better defence stats than rune boots, plus a Strength bonus of +3 to boost your melee hits.

The boots give +15 Stab, +16 Slash, and +17 Crush defence. They also give +8 Ranged defence, which most melee boots do not have. They weigh 2.721 kg, so they are a bit heavy.

Granite boots also protect your feet from the very hot ground in the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon. Boots of stone and boots of brimstone do this too, but they give no Strength bonus. That makes granite boots the best melee boots in that dungeon for players who have not finished the elite Kourend and Kebos diary.

In the game, these boots drop from wyverns in the Wyvern Cave. The Ancient Wyvern has the best drop rate at 1 in 600. Spitting, Taloned, and Long-tailed Wyverns drop them at 1 in 2,560. Fun fact: Dondakan the Dwarf wore these boots for years, and he will not sell them at any price.
