Harralander tar is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a dark, thick, tar-like substance with a foul smell. Players use it as ammunition for the black salamander. The salamander needs this tar to attack, so you must have it to use the weapon.

Players with level 44 Herblore can make this tar on their own. Use 15 swamp tar on a harralander while you have a pestle and mortar in your inventory. This makes 15 harralander tar and gives 72.5 Herblore experience.
