Description
Iron arrows are a type of ranged ammo in Old School RuneScape. They are stronger than bronze arrows and work with most bows. Each arrow gives a ranged attack bonus of +10. They stack in one inventory slot, weigh nothing, and can be traded to other players.
Iron arrows are a solid pick for training the Ranged skill early on. Players who use Ava's attractor can get some fired arrows back, which helps a stack last longer.
These arrows can be made with the Fletching skill. At level 15 Fletching, using 15 iron arrowtips on 15 headless arrows makes a set of arrows and gives 37.5 experience. They can also be poisoned with weapon poison for extra damage. Adding an oily cloth turns them into iron fire arrows. At level 15 Fletching, a bucket of bloodwood sap turns them into seeking arrows.
Iron arrows drop from many monsters, such as minotaurs, moss giants, skeletons, hill giants, and zombies. They are also sold at archery shops like Lowe's Archery Emporium in Varrock and Hickton's Archery Emporium in Catherby. Buying a big stack of iron arrows saves time so players can keep training without stopping.
