The Iron battleaxe is a slashing weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is the second weakest battleaxe in the game, one step above the bronze battleaxe. Like all iron weapons, it can be wielded at level 1 Attack. This makes it a solid pick for new accounts that want more power than bronze gear.

The Iron battleaxe gives +8 Slash, +5 Crush, and a +13 Strength bonus. It has an attack speed of 6 ticks, which is 3.6 seconds per swing. Since it is a slash weapon, it works well against monsters with a slash weakness. It has four combat styles: Chop, Hack, Smash, and Block, so players can train Attack, Strength, or Defence with it.

Players can also make this axe with level 25 Smithing using three iron bars, which gives 75 Smithing experience. In game, it is sold at Brian's Battleaxe Bazaar in Port Sarim and Bob's Brilliant Axes in Lumbridge.
