Description
Iron bolts are ammo for crossbows in Old School RuneScape. They can be fired from an iron crossbow or any better crossbow. Each bolt gives a +46 ranged strength bonus, which helps your shots hit harder. Iron bolts are members only, tradeable, equipable, and stackable, and they weigh nothing.
Iron bolts are the third-weakest bolts in the game. They are one step stronger than blurite bolts, so they work well for players who are training Ranged early on.
Players can also make iron bolts. It starts with Smithing. At level 18 Smithing, one iron bar makes 10 unfinished iron bolts and gives 25 Smithing experience. Then flights are added with feathers. This step needs level 39 Fletching and one feather per bolt.
Iron bolts can be tipped with pearl too. At level 41 Fletching, pearl bolt tips can be attached to iron bolts. Each tip gives 3.2 Fletching experience and turns the bolt into a pearl bolt. Pearl bolts can then be enchanted. Iron bolts can also be poisoned, but a poisoned bolt cannot have a bolt tip added.
