Description

The iron dagger is a fast melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a step up from the bronze dagger and gives new players a solid early weapon. It has an attack speed of 4 ticks, which is 2.4 seconds per hit. Its attack bonuses are +5 Stab, +3 Slash, -4 Crush, and +1 Magic, with a strength bonus of +4.

Players can smith an iron dagger at level 15 Smithing using 1 iron bar. This gives 25 Smithing experience. Members can also poison the dagger for an edge in combat. Low level ironman accounts often use a poisoned iron dagger to take down stronger enemies.

The dagger has four combat styles. Stab is accurate, Lunge and Slash are aggressive, and Block is defensive. It weighs 0.453 kg and covers a range of 1 tile.

The iron dagger is sold at the Varrock Swordshop and spawns at several spots on the map. Players with level 32 Thieving can get a poisoned iron dagger by pickpocketing Rogues near the deep Wilderness Mage Arena. Charlie the Tramp may also ask for one during a beginner clue scroll step.
