Description

The iron felling axe is a woodcutter's axe in Old School RuneScape. It needs level 1 Attack to wield and level 1 Woodcutting to use. It chops trees at the same speed as a normal iron axe.

This axe shines when you carry forester's rations in your inventory or forestry kit. With rations, you get 10% more Woodcutting experience each time you chop a tree. You also get a 20% chance to not receive logs, which uses up one ration per chop. This works on tree roots in the Rising Roots forestry event too. Without rations, the axe works just like a regular iron axe.

The axe sits in the weapon slot, so it saves inventory space while you train. It also works in combat. It has a slash bonus of +8, a crush bonus of +4, and a melee strength bonus of +11. Its attack speed is 7 ticks.

Players can make this axe by using a felling axe handle on an iron axe at an anvil with a hammer. This needs level 1 Smithing and gives 5 Smithing experience. The axe stays tradeable after it is made.
