The helm gives better defensive stats than the iron med helm. It offers +6 Stab, +7 Slash, +5 Crush, and +6 Ranged defence. The trade-off is a -6 Magic attack bonus and a -3 Ranged attack bonus, so it works best for melee fighters. It weighs 2.721 kg and is tradeable and noteable.

The iron full helm has another use beyond combat. It is a required item for an Easy Treasure Trail clue, where the player must do the Dance emote outside the shack that leads to Zanaris in Lumbridge Swamp. Grab one to gear up a low level account or finish that clue step.
