Description

Jumbo squid is a members-only food item in Old School RuneScape. Eating one restores 17 Hitpoints, which makes it a solid food choice for training, bossing, and PvM trips. It is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and carry in bulk.

Players make jumbo squid by cooking raw jumbo squid on a fire or a cooking range. This needs level 71 Cooking and gives 180 experience per success. Cooking it can fail and leave you with burnt jumbo squid. The burn chance drops as your Cooking level goes up. It stops burning at level 98 at the Hosidius Kitchen, or level 96 if you have finished the elite Kourend and Kebos Diary.

The raw fish comes from lantern harpooning, which needs level 69 Fishing plus a harpoon and a lantern. These fishing spots are found on certain islands at sea, so a Sailing level of at least 47 is needed to dock at the Onyx Crest.
