Description

Karil's armour set is a full set of Ranged gear from the Barrows minigame in Old School RuneScape. The set includes Karil's coif, leathertop, leatherskirt, and crossbow. You need 70 Defence and 70 Ranged to wear the armour, and 70 Ranged to use the crossbow.

Karil's armour gives a high Magic Defence bonus. This makes it a strong pick when you fight enemies that use powerful Magic attacks. Many players wear it for that reason, even when using melee. The full set gives a Ranged attack bonus of 138 and a Magic defence bonus of 106.

The crossbow is two-handed and shoots as fast as a Magic shortbow. It uses special ammo called bolt racks, which give 55 Ranged Strength. That matches the power of amethyst arrows.

The set has a special effect called Tainted Shot. When your Ranged attack hits a player, there is a 25% chance to lower their Agility level by 20%. If you also wear the Amulet of the Damned, you get a 25% chance to hit twice in one attack.

Like all Barrows gear, this set degrades with use and can be repaired by NPCs or at an armour stand in a player-owned house.
