Description

Amethyst arrows are a members-only ranged ammo in Old School RuneScape. They are arrows with amethyst heads. They are stackable and tradeable, and they weigh nothing.

These arrows have a Ranged strength bonus of +55. That is +6 more than rune arrows. Only dragon arrows are stronger, with a +5 edge over amethyst. This makes amethyst arrows a strong pick for ranged combat.

You can fire amethyst arrows with any bow made from magic logs or stronger. This includes the magic shortbow and its imbued version. The bone shortbow can also use them. Even though they are not made of metal, they work with Ava's devices from the Animal Magnetism quest.

Amethyst arrows can be poisoned with Weapon poison, Weapon poison(+), or Weapon poison(++). You can also add an oily cloth to make amethyst fire arrows, or use a bucket of bloodwood sap to make seeking amethyst arrows.

Players with a Fletching level of 82 can craft these arrows by using headless arrows on amethyst arrowtips in sets of 15. Each set gives 202.5 Fletching experience. Buying them saves that time and effort.
