Description
Karil's coif 0 is the fully degraded form of Karil's coif in Old School RuneScape. It is a piece of ranged headgear from Karil the Tainted's Barrows set. At condition 0 the coif cannot be worn until it is repaired. Barrows items can only be traded when fully repaired or fully broken, which makes this version tradeable.
Once repaired, the coif needs 70 Defence and 70 Ranged to wear. It gives a +7 Ranged attack bonus and solid defence bonuses, including +10 Ranged and +12 Crush. A repaired coif lasts for 15 hours of combat before it degrades again.
Wearing the coif with the rest of Karil's set and attacking with Karil's crossbow adds a special effect. Successful hits on another player have a 25% chance to lower that player's Agility level by 20% for a short time.
NPCs like Bob in Lumbridge or Dunstan in Burthorpe can repair the coif for 60,000 coins. An armour stand in a player-owned house costs less. Higher Smithing levels cut the price, down to about half at level 99. This is a smart pick for players who want Karil's set at a lower cost.
