Description

The light orb is an item in Old School RuneScape. It is used to fix broken magical lamps in the cave goblin city of Dorgesh-Kaan. With level 52 Crafting and level 52 Firemaking, a player can fix a lamp and earn 500 Crafting experience and 500 Firemaking experience. After fixing 50 lamps, the player gets a bonus of 2,500 Crafting and Firemaking experience. This bonus repeats forever.

Fixing lamps is a fast way to train. Players can earn about 130,000 Crafting experience and 100,000 Firemaking experience per hour. There are always ten broken lamps in the city, and a new one breaks each time one is fixed.

Making a light orb from scratch is hard. It takes level 87 Crafting to blow the empty orb from molten glass and attach cave goblin wire to it. Light orbs can also be found in Dorgesh-Kaan chests, but only rarely.

A light orb is also needed for a Sherlock elite clue scroll step, and one must be crafted for a master clue scroll. The orb is very light at 0.001 kg, so it is easy to carry.
