Description

Linen yarn is a members-only crafting item in Old School RuneScape. It is spun from flax on a spinning wheel. Making one yarn needs level 12 Crafting and gives 16 XP. Each yarn uses one flax and takes 1.8 seconds to make.

Linen yarn has two main uses. Players can weave 2 yarn at a loom to make a bolt of linen. This needs level 12 Crafting and gives 20 XP. Bolts of linen are used to build masts and sails for a boat, and to make a gem pouch. Players can also use 6 yarn, along with mahogany planks, rope, mithril bars, and lead bars, to build a linen trawling net at level 65 Crafting.

The Museum Camp on Fossil Island has a spinning wheel next to a loom, close to a bank chest. These must be built before use. Nemus Retreat near Auburnvale in Varlamore has flax, a spinning wheel, and a bank close together.

Linen yarn is tradeable and noteable, but not stackable or equipable. It weighs 0.1 kg. On the Grand Exchange, it has a buy limit of 13,000 every 4 hours.
