The Magic shortbow is a fast ranged weapon in Old School RuneScape. It needs level 50 Ranged to use. It can fire arrows up to amethyst, which makes it a strong pick for mid-level players.

This bow has a Ranged attack bonus of +69 and an attack range of 7 tiles. On Rapid, it shoots every 1.8 seconds. Its speed and its ability to fire rune and amethyst arrows make it a solid weapon for Slayer tasks.

The bow also has a special attack called Snapshot. It fires two arrows very quickly and uses 55% of the special attack bar. It also boosts accuracy by about 43%. This special attack is popular in player killing. Players stack its damage with a strong melee hit to finish off a target.

The Magic shortbow can be imbued with a magic shortbow scroll. The imbued version has a +75 ranged attack bonus, and its special attack only costs 50%.

Players can also make this bow with 80 Fletching by using a magic shortbow (u) on a bow string. It can drop from hard clue scrolls and spiritual rangers as well.
