Description

Poison ivy berries are a Farming item in Old School RuneScape. Players grow them by planting poison ivy seeds in a bush patch at level 70 Farming. The bush grows in 160 minutes and gives at least 4 berries. It regrows more berries over time, about one every 20 minutes. Higher Farming levels give bigger yields.

These berries have a few key uses. At level 82 Herblore, players mix them with a weapon poison++ (unf) to make weapon poison(++). This gives 190 Herblore XP and makes the berries popular with high level players training Herblore. Farmers also accept 8 berries as payment to watch over a growing calquat tree. Adding berries to a compost bin makes supercompost.

Poison ivy bushes never get diseased, so there is no need to pay a gardener or add compost. Checking the health of a grown bush gives 675 Farming XP, plus 45 XP per berry picked. This makes the bush a solid way to train Farming past level 70. Picking berries from the patch near the Ardougne Monastery is also a task in the hard Ardougne Diary. The berries are tradeable and noteable.
