Description

Raw bear meat is a food item in Old School RuneScape. It drops when you kill most bears, and you can also buy it from Rufus in Canifis. It needs to be cooked before you can eat it.

You can cook raw bear meat at level 1 Cooking. A good cook gets 30 Cooking experience and turns it into cooked meat. If it burns, you get burnt meat instead. You can also use raw bear meat on a range to make sinew at level 1 Cooking, which gives 3 Cooking experience.

This item has more uses than just food. It is dipped in the Cauldron of Thunder during the Druidic Ritual quest to make an enchanted bear. It is also one of the ingredients for a wild pie when combined with a pie shell.

Bears live all over Gielinor. You can find them near Castle Wars, south of Yanille, north-east of Ardougne by the Legends' Guild, and in a cage in Varrock castle reached through the Varrock Sewers. Raw bear meat weighs 0.425 kg and is both tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to carry and sell.
