Description

The Raw sardine is a fish item in Old School RuneScape. Players catch it at bait fishing spots with a normal fishing rod and fishing bait. It takes level 5 Fishing to catch, and each catch gives 20 Fishing experience.

Raw sardines can be cooked at level 1 Cooking. Cooking one gives 40 Cooking experience and makes a sardine, which heals 4 hits when eaten. This makes the raw sardine a good pick for players who want easy Cooking training or cheap food.

This fish also matters for quests. In Gertrude's Cat, players rub a raw sardine with doogle leaves to make a seasoned sardine. The seasoned sardine is fed to Gertrude's lost cat to complete the quest. After the Tower of Life quest, a raw sardine can be used with red spiders' eggs to make a Spidine.

Raw sardines can be caught in many spots, such as Lumbridge Swamp, Draynor Village, Catherby beach, Mudskipper Point, Al Kharid, and Musa Point on Karamja. The item weighs 0.14 kg and was released on 11 June 2001. Its item ID is 327.
