Description
Redwood pyre logs are members-only items in Old School RuneScape. They are redwood logs treated with sacred oil for use on a funeral pyre. Players use them in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate shade remains.
These logs need level 95 Firemaking to light. Each shade cremated with them gives 500 Firemaking experience, or 750 with the Morytania Diary 4 complete. They are one of only two pyre log types that can burn Urium remains. The other is rosewood pyre logs.
To use them, place the logs and a set of shade remains on a funeral pyre near Mort'ton. Light the pyre with a tinderbox. This frees the shade and gives Firemaking and Prayer experience, plus some coins or a key. The key type depends on the remains, not the logs.
Making these logs yourself takes four doses of sacred oil per log and requires the Shades of Mort'ton quest. Buying them ready-made skips that work. The logs are tradeable and noteable but not stackable, and each one weighs 1.36 kg. They are a solid pick for players training Firemaking and Prayer in Morytania.
