Description

The Runite crossbow (u) is an unstrung crossbow in Old School RuneScape. It is a members-only item. It is one step away from becoming a rune crossbow, one of the most popular ranged weapons in the game.

Players make this item with the Fletching skill. It takes level 69 Fletching to combine a yew stock with runite limbs, and doing so gives 100 Fletching experience. Adding a crossbow string finishes the rune crossbow and gives 50 more experience. A boosted Fletching level also works. The unstrung version cannot be equipped, but it is tradeable and noteable. It weighs 8 kg.

This item also matters for the elite Ardougne Diary. One task asks players to make a runite crossbow (u) inside Witchaven or Yanille.

The crossbow can drop from monsters too. Skeletal Wyverns drop it at a rate of 2/128, Ancient Wizards at 1/50, and Ancient Wyverns at 3/132.
