Description
The Sapphire amulet is a free-to-play neck item in Old School RuneScape. It is a gold amulet with a cut sapphire set in it. Players can wear it, trade it, and note it. It gives no combat bonuses on its own.
The real value of this amulet comes from magic. Cast the Lvl-1 Enchant spell on it and it turns into an amulet of magic. That spell needs level 7 Magic. This makes the sapphire amulet a smart pick for low level players and for anyone training Magic with enchant spells.
Players can also make this amulet with the Crafting skill. It takes level 24 Crafting, a gold bar, a cut sapphire, and an amulet mould at a furnace. This gives 65 Crafting experience. The unstrung amulet then needs a ball of wool to finish it, which gives 4 more experience.
One sapphire amulet is needed in the Making History quest, so it helps to keep one on hand. The amulet can also be sold to Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim. It is light at only 0.007 kg, so it is easy to carry.
