Description
The spider on shaft is a members-only food item in Old School RuneScape. It is a roasted jungle spider threaded onto an arrow shaft. Players make it on Karamja during the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame by killing a jungle spider, then using an arrow shaft on the spider carcass.
Cooking a raw spider on shaft needs level 16 Cooking and gives 80 Cooking experience. The spider can burn while cooking, but it stops burning at Cooking level 48 on both fires and ranges. When eaten, it heals a random amount between 7 and 10 hitpoints. The arrow shaft is destroyed when the spider is eaten.
Cooking a spider on a shaft is a medium task in the Karamja achievement diary. It does not have to be cooked on Karamja to count for the task. This makes the item useful for players who want to finish the diary.
The spider on shaft weighs 0.9 kg. It is tradeable, noteable, and edible, but it cannot be equipped and does not stack. Hudo at Grand Tree Groceries lists cooked spiders on shafts, but his shop never has them in stock.
