The Splitbark helm is a magic hat in Old School RuneScape. It goes in the headwear slot. You need level 40 Magic and 40 Defence to wear it. It is a solid pick for mages who want more protection at mid levels.
This helm gives a +3 magic attack bonus. It also gives good defence for a magic item, with +10 stab, +9 slash, +11 crush, and +3 magic defence. It has a small −2 ranged attack bonus. It is light too, at just 0.907 kg.
Players can craft the helm with a needle and thread, two pieces of fine cloth, and two bark at level 61 Crafting. You can skip the Crafting level by paying Wizard Jalarast at the Wizards' Tower 6,000 coins with the same materials. Ninja implings can also drop it.
The Splitbark helm can be upgraded later. At level 79 Crafting, use 250 blood runes to make a Bloodbark helm. At level 46 Crafting, use 250 nature runes to make a Swampbark helm. You can also store it in the Magic wardrobe of your player-owned house Costume Room to save bank space.
