Description
The squid beak is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. Players use it to make wooden blowpipes. It is a rare drop that comes from cutting raw swordtip squids and jumbo squids. The drop rate is 1 in 1,024 for swordtip squids and 1 in 512 for jumbo squids per cutting action.
One squid beak is needed for each blowpipe. The camphor blowpipe needs level 58 and 2 camphor logs. The ironwood blowpipe needs level 72 and 2 ironwood logs. The rosewood blowpipe needs level 84 and 2 rosewood logs.
Cutting squids on a chum spreader can give up to 4 beaks at once, since the roll applies to every squid cut on that tick. Players who only need 1 beak get more rolls per squid by cutting with a knife instead. Spirit flakes and rada's blessing give a chance to double catch squids.
The squid beak is tradeable and noteable. It cannot be equipped and does not stack. It weighs 0.1 kg. Buying a squid beak saves players from long hours of cutting squids for a rare drop.
