Description
Steel cannonballs are ammo for the dwarf multicannon in Old School RuneScape. They also work in boat cannons during ship combat. Any steel cannon or stronger can fire them.
The dwarf multicannon is a fast way to deal extra damage while training Ranged or fighting monsters. It burns through cannonballs quickly, so most players need a big supply. Buying them saves the time it takes to smith them one bar at a time.
For ship combat, steel cannonballs have a +20 Accuracy bonus and a +74 Strength bonus at tier 35. Players with level 50 Smithing can also add granite dust to them to make granite cannonballs, which hit harder in both boat cannons and the dwarf multicannon.
Steel cannonballs can be turned into other ammo too. With level 35 Smithing, two cannonballs and one chain make a steel chainshot cannonball. Two cannonballs and ten rubium splinters make a steel incendiary cannonball.
The buy limit on the Grand Exchange is 11,000 every 4 hours. A large stack of steel cannonballs keeps your cannon loaded for long slayer tasks, bossing trips, and time at sea.
