Description

The steel felling axe is a members-only axe in Old School RuneScape. You need level 5 Attack to wield it and level 6 Woodcutting to use it. It chops trees at the same speed as a normal steel axe.

The felling axe has a special perk. If you carry forester's rations in your inventory or forestry kit, you get 10% more Woodcutting experience each time you chop a tree. You also gain a 20% chance to not receive logs, which keeps your inventory clear. Each successful chop uses one ration. Without rations, the axe works like a regular steel axe.

The axe is made by using a felling axe handle on a steel axe at an anvil with a hammer. This needs level 6 Smithing and gives 5 Smithing experience. The axe stays tradeable after it is made.

You can also fight with it. It has +12 slash, +9 crush, and +14 strength bonuses, with four combat styles to pick from. It attacks once every 4.2 seconds.

This axe is a solid pick for players who train Woodcutting and want extra experience from forestry content.
