Cooking this meat needs only level 1 Cooking and gives 40 Cooking experience when it works. There is always a chance to burn it, even at level 99. The burn chance goes down as your Cooking level goes up. Up to level 82, it burns more often on a range than on a fire. Each piece takes 1 tick to cook, which is 0.6 seconds.

The main reason players want ugthanki meat is the ugthanki kebab. This popular food restores 19 hitpoints. The meat is also used to make chopped ugthanki with a bowl, kebab mix with onion and tomato, ugthanki and onion with chopped onion, and ugthanki and tomato with chopped tomato.
