Description

Umbral coral is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It is a type of coral grown with the Farming skill. Its examine text says it seems to absorb light from all around it. It is tradeable and noteable, but it cannot be equipped and does not stack.

Players grow umbral coral by planting an umbral frag in a coral nursery. This patch is found underwater, just off the eastern coast of The Great Conch. It takes level 77 Farming to harvest. Planting gives 136 Farming XP and harvesting gives 159 XP. The coral takes 160 minutes to grow and does not regrow. Each harvest gives at least 4 coral, and higher Farming levels give more. A nearby gardener will watch the coral for a payment of 5 pillar coral.

The main use for umbral coral is making Armadyl brews. Add one coral to a vial of water to make an umbral potion (unf). This needs level 89 in the relevant skill. Then add rainbow crab paste to finish the brew. Players who want to make Armadyl brews without long Farming trips can save time by buying umbral coral directly.
