Description

The Vial of blood is a glass vial filled with blood in Old School RuneScape. It is a members item. Players get it as a drop from the Theatre of Blood. It can also be made by squeezing 50 blood sacs into a vial.

This vial has two main uses. First, it works as the base for making bastion and battlemage potions. Herblore players use it in place of a vial of water for these recipes.

Second, it charges the Scythe of Vitur, one of the strongest melee weapons in the game. One vial of blood and 200 blood runes give the scythe 100 charges. To charge it, place the items in the vyre well in Ver Sinhaza or Darkmeyer and use the scythe on the well.

The Vial of blood is tradeable and noteable. It cannot be equipped and does not stack. It weighs 0.1 kg. Note that you cannot fill an empty vial at the blood fountains in Darkmeyer. The blood spills on the ground if you try. This vial is a smart pick for potion makers and for anyone who owns a Scythe of Vitur.
