The Battlemage potion(4) is a four dose potion in Old School RuneScape. It mixes the effects of a magic potion and a super defence potion into one item. Each dose boosts your Magic level by 4. It also boosts your Defence level by 5 plus 15% of your Defence level, rounded down.
This potion is a strong pick for players who fight with magic. You get a bigger Magic level and a bigger Defence level at the same time. That means you can hit harder with spells while taking less damage. It also saves inventory space since one potion does the job of two.
Players with 80 Herblore can make this potion. First, use a cadantine on a vial of blood. Then add a potato cactus to the unfinished cadantine blood potion. Making it grants 155 Herblore experience.
The Battlemage potion(4) has the item ID 22449. It can also be traded on the Grand Exchange, and it has a buy limit of 2,000. If you use magic in tough fights, this potion gives you a simple way to boost both attack power and defence with one item.
