The Ward upgrade kit is a cosmetic item in Old School RuneScape. You can use it on the odium ward or the malediction ward. It turns the ward into the odium ward (or) or the malediction ward (or). The kit changes how the ward looks. It does not change any stats. The ward works the same way in combat.
Players like this kit because it gives their ward a fresh new look. It is a nice way to stand out while wearing gear you already use.
When you use the kit, it is consumed and the upgraded ward becomes untradeable. You can revert the ward back to its normal, tradeable form at any time. The kit is not returned when you revert the ward, so you would need a new kit to upgrade again.
In the game, the kit can be bought at Justine's stuff for the Last Shopper Standing for 20 Last Man Standing points. It is a members only item. It is tradeable, noteable, and not stackable. It weighs 0.5 kg and has the item ID 12802. It was released on 9 October 2014.
