Description
Yanillian hops are a members item in Old School RuneScape. Players grow them by planting Yanillian seeds in a hops patch. Once the crop is ready, the hops can be picked and used in a few helpful ways.
The main use for Yanillian hops is brewing wizard's mind bombs. This needs level 34 Cooking and gives 314 XP per batch. One batch uses 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, 4 Yanillian hops, and 1 ale yeast. Wizard's mind bombs can boost the Magic stat, which some players use to enter the Wizards' Guild early.
Yanillian hops have other uses too. Players can pay a farmer 25 of them to protect a mahogany tree. They can also go into a compost bin to make regular compost.
These hops are tradeable and noteable, but they do not stack and cannot be worn. Each one weighs 0.028 kg. The item ID is 5998. Their name may come from Yanille, the town where the Wizards' Guild sits. Game lore says they came from normal plant breeding mixed with magic tests by a wizard named Soraya.
