Description
The Asgarnian seed is a Farming item in RuneScape 3. Players plant it in a hops patch to grow Asgarnian hops. You need a Farming level of 8 to plant it, and one planting takes four seeds.
The crop grows in 50 minutes. It goes through five stages that each take 10 minutes. Planting gives 10.5 Farming XP, and each harvest gives 12 XP. The crop has at least 3 harvest lives, and better compost adds more. You can pay a farmer 10 onions to protect the crop from disease.
Items like the magic secateurs, amulet of nature, and ring of whispers can help you keep harvest lives. The crop farmer outfit and master farmer outfit each give a small chance to save a harvest life too.
Asgarnian seeds are members-only, tradeable, and stackable. They weigh nothing, so they are easy to carry. They can also be disassembled for Invention, giving mostly Organic parts and rarely Living components. These seeds are a solid pick for players who want to train Farming at low levels or stock up on hops.
