The banana tree seed is a Farming seed in RuneScape 3. You need level 33 Farming to grow it. First, plant the seed in a plant pot filled with dirt. Water it, and it turns into a banana sapling. Then move the sapling to a fruit tree patch.
The tree takes about 16 hours to fully grow. Once it is grown, it gives 6 bananas per harvest. After you pick all 6, the tree grows more bananas over time. Each new banana takes 40 minutes to regrow.
This seed is a solid pick for Farming training. Planting the sapling gives 28 Farming experience. Checking the healthy tree gives 1,750.5 experience. Each banana you pick adds 10.5 experience more.
You can pay the nearby farmer 4 baskets of apples to protect the tree from disease. The tree farmer outfit lowers this cost to 3 baskets, and the master farmer outfit lowers it to 2.
