Description

The plant pot is a key Farming item in RuneScape 3. Players use it to turn tree seeds into seedlings. This is the first step in growing trees for Farming experience.

To use it, fill an empty plant pot with soil from any farming patch that does not need weeding. Then use a tree seed on the filled pot with a gardening trowel in your inventory. Water the seedling with a watering can and it will sprout into a sapling in a few minutes. The sapling is then ready to plant in a tree patch.

Plant pots work with many types of seeds. These include acorns, willow, maple, yew, magic, oak, apple, banana, palm, calquat, spirit, and elder tree seeds. The Farming level needed depends on the seed, starting from level 1.

This item is members only, tradeable, and noteable. It weighs 0.907 kg and is always kept on death outside dangerous areas. The examine text reads "A plant pot filled with compost." If you train Farming with trees, this item is a must-have for making saplings.
