Buy RS3 Barb-tail harpoon

Description

The barb-tail harpoon is a members item in RuneScape 3. It works as both a one-handed weapon and a fishing harpoon. You get it by hunting barb-tailed kebbits or by harvesting divine deadfall traps.

The big perk is that you can wield it. A normal harpoon takes up a spot in your inventory. This one does not, so you have room for one extra fish on every trip. That adds up over long fishing sessions.

You need level 35 Fishing to use it. At level 35 you can catch raw tuna for 80 experience each. At level 50 you can catch raw swordfish for 100 experience. At level 76 you can harpoon raw sharks and raw baron sharks for 110 experience each.

As a weapon, it needs no Attack level to wield. It has tier 5 accuracy but only tier 1 damage, so it is weaker than a bronze sword. Its fishing animation looks 12.5% faster than a normal harpoon, but the real catch rate is the same. Note that it cannot be used to make ibis pouches. Its examine text reads "A mighty Hunter weapon. One previous owner."
