Description

Raw swordfish is an uncooked fish in RuneScape 3. Players catch it with a harpoon at cage and harpoon fishing spots. It takes level 50 Fishing to catch, and each catch gives 100 Fishing experience. Players with level 70 Fishing and 50 Strength can catch it barehanded for 8 extra Strength experience.

This fish is a great pick for Cooking training. With level 45 Cooking, a raw swordfish can be cooked into a swordfish. Cooking one gives 140 Cooking experience on a range and 154 over a bonfire. Players stop burning them at level 86 Cooking, or level 80 with cooking gauntlets.

Buying raw swordfish saves time. Skipping the fishing spot means faster Cooking levels and more time for quests, bosses, and other skills. Popular spots to fish them, like the Fishing Guild and Karamja, take many hours to work through by hand.

Raw swordfish is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to store and move. It is not stackable and weighs 0.5 kg. It can also be disassembled. After the Tower of Life quest, members can even use one with a raw chicken to make a swordchick.
