Description

Bear fur is a tradeable item in RuneScape 3. It is warm fur from a bear. Bears such as black bears, grizzly bears, and grizzly bear cubs always drop it. Barbarians in Gunnarsgrunn drop it sometimes too.

The main use for bear fur is in Herblore. Add it to an unfinished marrentill potion to make a defence potion. This needs level 9 Herblore and gives 45 experience. Defence potions boost your Defence level, so this fur is handy for players training the skill.

Bear fur is also needed for quests. You need one fur during Mourning's End Part I. You need ten furs in The Great Brain Robbery to build wooden cats at a Crafting table 1. That needs level 10 Crafting and gives 15 experience per cat. You can also use bear fur with silk to repair damaged mourner trousers.

Bear fur weighs 3 kg. It can be noted and traded, but it cannot be worn or stacked. It can be disassembled for Simple parts most of the time, with a small chance of Variable components. Grab bear fur to skip the hunting and get right to your potions or quests.
